Supervising Technician, Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre

Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre is a 395 seat proscenium arch theatre and functions venue located in Preston.  We host a range of touring professional productions, local theatrical performances and community presentations.
We are seeking a full time Supervising Technician who will be responsible for the planning and smooth running of performances and events in the venue as well as maintaining a high level of service to customers and clients.  Staff supervision, experience in dealing with a variety of clients, preparation of event reports and excellent communication are essential requirements.
This position will be accountable for ensuring the safety and security of the venue and its staff, clients and patrons.  Previous experience in the technical operations of a professional venue and thorough knowledge of audio visual applications, lighting board operation, audio desk operation and counterweight flying systems are key requirements.  Hours of work will vary according to venue usage and include evenings and weekends.  For further information on the DAEC venue please visit www.darebinartscentre.com.au
