Supervising Technician (2 Positions)

About the role 

Councils Arts & Culture Department is looking for 2 Supervising Technicians who will be responsible for the professional technical leadership and timely delivery of technical elements for events, functions and venues supported by Arts & Culture.

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • Ensuring the professional delivery of events across the Frankston Arts Precinct.
  • Providing high quality technical service, high quality customer service and a safe, welcoming onstage environment
    for Council, Staff and Presenters.
  • Ensuring a high standard of presentation and safety of Arts & Culture venues, functions and events.

About you

As the preferred candidate, you will bring to the team;

  • An ability and experience in supervising, leading and participating as part of a highly effective team.
  • Staff and client supervision experience within a high pressure events environment.
  • Technical understanding of safe theatrical staging, lighting, audio, rigging and flying operation and maintenance.
  • Strong practical working knowledge of back of house duties and requirements.
  • Experience in supervising event delivery.

This position is a Band 5 currently remunerated between $74,260 to $85,300 per annum, plus superannuation.

Covid-19 Vaccination Information
It is a condition of employment that all Frankston City Council employees declare their Covid-19 Vaccination status. The successful candidate will be required to declare their Covid-19 Vaccination status prior to commencing employment. This includes providing a copy of a valid Vaccination Certificate. All staff of are required to have Covid-19 Vaccinations in line with vaccination directions issued by the Chief Health Officer and the Victorian State Government.

All positions at Council are covered by Mandatory Vaccination requirements and as such the successful candidate must provide evidence of being Covid-19 Vaccinated to Council as part of the pre-employment process.
