Staging Technician – Multiple Roles

Established in 1973, Adelaide Festival Centre is South Australia’s principal performing arts venue and a leading Asia Pacific cultural centre. About the vacancy

As we continue to deliver a strong program in 2022, Adelaide Festival Centre is looking for technical theatre professionals to join its Staging Department. 

Reporting to the Head of Department – Staging, these positions are responsible for provision and operation of equipment and support for performances in our venues. The services include set construction, rigging, props coordination and operating fly systems for stage effects and scene changes.

Responsibilities

  • Technical support to Adelaide Festival Centre performances and events.
  • General maintenance and repair and installations to all associated equipment.
  • Working on bump ins and bump outs, rehearsals and performances in our venues and responding to technical scene changes and cues.
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures around employment conditions and WHS and Risk
  •  

Competencies and Skills

  • Experience in Staging in a live performance and/or theatrical environment
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain professional working relationships.
  • A commitment to the delivery of excellent customer service.
