Stage Manager: Schools on Stage

Schools on Stage is an exciting new event that will bring together secondary colleges from across the City of Casey to perform excerpts from their school musicals in an eisteddfod style event. Schools on Stage will culminate in a live performance night to be held on Thursday 15 September 2011, and we are seeking an experienced stage manager to be a part of this unique event.

Responsibilities of the Stage Manager will include:

• Oversee the performance event and the movement of school groups on and off the stage in a timely manner;
• Ensure that rehearsals run to schedule and provide support to participating schools throughout;
• Liaise with the event manager, venue manager, musical director and technicians as required;
• Provide input and advice into the overall development of the event.

The position comes with an honorarium payment to be negotiated with the successful individual. Demonstrated experience in stage management is essential.
