About the role:
Duties as Stage Manager include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervision of Stage Management team.
- Bump-in and bump out all Stage Management equipment, props elements of the Production in rehearsal and the theatre.
- Follow-through on origination, update and modification of all relevant show plots, prompt scripts and the like of the Production.
- Aid in the maintenance of the physical and artistic function of the Production by reporting on all issues as they present themselves.
- Maintain the technical standard set by the Production Manager.
- Follow the OHS policies in place and as they are modified from time to time:
o Be responsible for ensuring that you follow safety guidelines and OHS policies, use equipment in the recommended manner and use safety equipment as provided.
o Report any unsafe work practice that requires attention to the Production Manager and or Company Manager and ensure that you adhere to solutions provided and implemented.
o Participate and contribute to discussions on safety implementations as they arise
- Attend production and staff meetings and implement requests from these meetings as directed.
- Other reasonable duties as advised by the Production Manager, Company Management and Producing Team.
About you:
· You will have a minimum of 4 years experience in a commercial Stage Management role or equivalent.
· Excellent organisation & communication skills.
· A team player, always wanting to put on the best show possible.
· Self-motivated and takes initiative.
· Experience in working under pressure, using tact & diplomacy.
· Ability to work with creatives, technical personnel, musicians and artists.
