About the Role
Novatech is seeking a permanent full-time Specialist Sound Technician who has worked in the Live Event scene. You will be able to apply your technical expertise to produce quality, creative and cutting-edge results.

Main Tasks and Duties:
- Provide senior technical expertise and leadership when integrating provisions of audio staging and technical services for internal and external clients; including the expert setting up, operations, regulation, and adjustment of audio equipment such as microphones, sound decks, and mixing consoles.
- Be the senior Technical staff on jobs/gigs and other related activities as required, ensuring active engagement at all times.
- Regularly conduct the service & repair of audio and sound-related equipment.
- Successful completion of the setup, operation & onsite programming of audio equipment, sound desks, and mixing consoles.
- Conduct appropriate onsite checks of audio equipment used in live events and expertly monitor the operation of the equipment during the event.
- Participate in the selection, pre-event programming, and resetting of all audio equipment at the warehouse in preparation for upcoming events where audio-visual equipment is required.
- Ability to undertake the positioning of equipment on stage, the running of cables and equipment testing.
- Provide support in exhibition installs and ongoing exhibition maintenance.
- Equipment preparation in the warehouse and the pre-event programming of equipment.
Qualifications / Experience
- Require the successful candidate to have at least a relevant Certificate III level qualification plus at least 3 years full-time or FTE experience as an audio technician
- Significant knowledge of the Production Industry and associated equipment.
- Demonstrated understanding of WHS practises
