Are you an experienced Sound/Lighting Technician seeking the flexibility of casual work and the opportunity to work in one of Melbourne’s premier Arts and Culture venues whilst enjoying being part of a fun and supportive team environment?
A number of exciting opportunities exist at the City of Stonnington to work at Chapel off Chapel; a renowned hub of arts and cultural activities comprising of two performance spaces – ‘the Chapel’ and ‘the Loft’
As a Sound/Lighting Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining technical equipment and undertaking the technical operation of performances. You will have the opportunity to work on a large diversity of performances and liaise closely with clients, stakeholders, Council departments and members of the public.
As a City of Stonnington employee, you will receive professional development opportunities and the ability to participate in a staff wellbeing program nominated as a finalist both in the VicHealth and WorkSafe awards. Additionally, you will be located just off the bustling and vibrant Chapel St and work for an organisation with a dedicated Green Team and be recognised and rewarded through Stonnington’s cultural development program.
As the successful applicant you will posses demonstrated experience in both Lighting and Sound Operations and extensive customer service experience and skills. Additionally, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be reliable, punctual and well presented and hold an EWPA Yellow Card or equivalent.
