About the vacancy
As we continue to deliver a strong program in 2022, Adelaide Festival Centre is looking for technical theatre professionals to join its Sound Department.
Reporting to the Head of Department – Sound, these positions require technicians to set up and operate sound equipment, while supporting performances to the highest possible standard. The role includes live performance operation for front of house and monitors. A good knowledge of radio microphone programming with spectrum management, stage talkback setups and programming, some basic video highly desired.

The successful applicants will have:
- Successfully completed, working towards or have the ability to obtain RPL status for Cert IV in entertainment or relevant qualification;
- Working knowledge of Digital Consoles;
- Experience in sound in a live performance and/or theatrical environment
- Experience in an arts/entertainment environment;
- Ability to work in a team environment. Work cooperatively with other staff, supervisors/managers and touring organisations
- A sound understanding of the entertainment industry, its terminology, traditions & protocols;
- Hold current certificates for Elevated Work Platform;
- Possess relevant computer literacy skills, in particular Microsoft Office products
