About the Role
We are seeking a Sound Technician with end-to-end expertise to produce quality, creative and acoustically stunning experiences for a diverse range of live events. As a senior member of the team, you will also be given opportunity to lead teams at events and take an active part in the development of crew.
Main Tasks and Duties include:
- * Rigging, set up, operation & onsite programming of audio equipment both on and off stage
- * Participate and assist in the service & repair of audio equipment
- * Tuning and mixing of audio as a Front of House Operator and/or System Tech, using a variety of consoles and systems
- * Managing on-stage sound, including responsibility for in-ear sound
- * Providing technical support, including serving as Tech Lead where required
- * Provide support in exhibition and venue installs and ongoing exhibition and venue maintenance
- * Conducting appropriate onsite checks of audio equipment
- * Playing an active part in the selection, pre-event programming, and resetting of audio equipment for events
- * Providing motivation and support to junior staff, as an onsite subject matter expert in the Audio discipline
- * Supporting teams with the bump in and bump out of events
- * Communicating effectively at all stages of production with our valued clients, ensuring that show delivery is of the highest standard

Qualifications / Experience
- * End-to-end experience as an Audio Technician within the live event industry
- * A proven track record working collaboratively as a team
- * Experience effectively liaising with a range of clients and artists on diverse requirements in a pressurised, time critical and live setting
- * A safety-first approach and understanding of WHS practices
- * Certificate IV or Diploma in the live production industry or relevant industry experience of equal value.
