Salary Range: $33.55 – $34.60 per hour pending experience

About the role
Ryan Catholic College is seeking an experienced Sound and Audio Visual Technician to support a wide range of events and functions at the College. Working Term Time for 20 hours per week, this 12 month contract will see you providing high quality technical services for the College’s extensive programme of productions and performances in Music and Drama as well as in a wide range of other activities, exhibitions, assemblies and College community events.
About You
- Knowledge of lighting, audio and vision equipment and the ability to learn new equipment and systems
- Excellent working knowledge of IT including projector set-up, sound consoles, computers and audio equipment
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety and associated safe work practices within a school setting
- A good ear for detail in all areas of sound
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise tasks in a busy environment
- Ability to manage conflicting and changing priorities ensuring diligence and professionalism
- A demonstrated ability to develop and sustain, foster productive working relationships.
- Flexible attitude toward working hours and conditions
- Able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service
Mandatory Criteria
- Current Working with Children Suitability Card – The successful candidate will require a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government.
- Current Driver’s Licence
