International R&B superstar Miguel was the support act for the Bruno Mars Moonshine Jungle 2014 Tour.
Nathan Davis of DK Design contracted Showtime for the supply of CHAUVET Nexus Panels and Legend 230SR Beams as well as touring crew for the Australian leg of the tour.
A mix of Eurotruss and Nivtek staging was used in conjunction with 28 Nexus panels, 12 x legend beam 230, 8 x Atomic strobes with control coming via a grandMA2, ensuring the design spec was met across the board.
The show toured around several states using the main arenas nationwide and a key hurdle was overcoming the 15min strike down time the Showtime crew had for the entire Miguel stage to accommodate the main rig, resulting in clever pre rig designs to ensure these time constraints were met with minutes to spare!
“The Nexus panels and the Legend beams were used to achieve the big, bold, bright looks that filled all the arenas that it toured through,” Nathan commented. “The Legend beams punched through as expected while the Nexus panels allowed me to program the right type of mixed visuals and colour that went with the performances. The Showtime crew deserves a huge mention for working with the time constraints and their effectiveness overall. The artist was very happy and overall the tour was a huge success.”
