Show Technology’s carnivale of products arrive in Brisbane

Brisbane was the last stop on Show Technology’s new product launch tour which began in early April in Sydney.

Proving that being last doesn’t necessarily mean being left behind, the launch night at the company’s Brisbane office was extremely well attended with a large number of industry professionals out in force. The creative team at Show Technology decided to have a bit of fun for the night and themed the launch with a “carnival atmosphere” complete with colour changing festooning, coloured LED Balls, Pinball, football and arcade machines, pool table and even a carnival style food van, complete with LED clip light, serving tasty treats for the night!

Amongst the fun and excitement Show Technology’s Technical Director, Vince Haddad, gave the audience an in depth look at the new MACIII – the 3rd generation moving light from Martin Professional of Denmark. The audience looked on in awe as Vince stepped through the many features of this new unit, which most certainly has raised the bar in automated moving lights.

Though the Brisbane market had previously had some sneak previews, it was also the first time the new MA2 control system was on display since its worldwide launch at Frankfurts’ Pro Light and Sound Trade show in March. As the most specified control system in the world and with many fans locally, there was much anticipation at the unveiling of the MA2 system. Many questions were being asked prior – would it be as good as the “classic” series, what new features were being introduced, what was the new platform really like and would it even ship? All were positively answered throughout the evening by not just Show Technology staff but indeed by many fans of MA who were all too happy to “spread the word”. There is no doubt that MA2 will be a hit for many years to come.

Adding to the interest in MACIII and MA2 was a range of other new products that had many in the audience enthused well into the night. A range of Pulsar Tricolour products were placed throughout the venue and generated much interest. Brisbane was also lucky enough to see an expanded collection of new products from Show Technology for the first time which included: the MAC301 LED Moving Yoke with motorised zoom, a sure fire hit from Martin yet again; the JEM K1 Hazer, a professionally designed hazer for larger venues; Coolux Media Servers from Pandora’s Box, which attracted a lot of interest; the small LED PAR175 and 500mm LED Balls from Pro Shop; a new version of the industry standard Unique Hazer and a new baby Viper, the Viper S from Look Solutions; the Pro Shop Tricolor PAR64; and TMB’s colour changing LED festooning.

“I am extremely proud to have had so many people attend our Brisbane event, our products are well supported here,” said Emmanuel Ziino, Show Technology Managing Director. “There is no doubt that even in trying times our industry needs to keep investing in new technology to provide the best possible shows. Interest is still very high for new products”.

MACIII, MA2 and all the products featured at the Brisbane launch are now shipping. Call any Show Technology office or your local rep directly anytime for demo, technical or pricing information.
