About the role:
The Show Control Technician role is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Lighting, Audio, Projection, Scenic Automation and Special effects systems for AOS show.
Duties:
• Operation of Show Control Consoles for the execution of shows
• Daily/Weekly checks of technical systems to ensure safety and performance standards as directed by show management
• Ongoing repairs and preventative maintenance of technical equipment
• Execute shows and or performances as directed by VRTP and ensure the standard set by management is maintained
• Ensure that all equipment and devices are maintained and used to the highest safety levels and all pre-show and post show checks are completed
• Have extensive knowledge of technical equipment in a live show or theatrical environment
• Possess formal internal or external technical qualifications/ licenses
• Be fully conversant in the use of the two-way radios and show comms systems \ including correct on-air etiquette
Skills and Experience:
• Programming/operating Grand MA lighting consoles in a live performance environment.
• Operating Media Servers and Digital Projection Equipment.
• Ability to work autonomously
• Comfortable working at heights
• Superior communications skills
• Extensive experience in the entertainment, theatre or live show environment.
• Midweek and Weekend day and night availability on a rotational roster is a requirement of this position.
