Senior Video Technician

TDC is seeking a full-time Senior Video Technician to join our energetic, high-performing Sydney team. This role allows you to:

What your work world will look like:

  • Develop and deliver video technology solutions utilising the latest in video technology.
  • Manage all technical elements of show delivery from initial brief through to show conclusion.
  • Develop and deliver control systems, system schematics and drawings.
  • Manage and direct production crew demonstrating strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Manage onsite crew briefings and toolbox talks for TDC crew, freelancers and contractors.
  • Develop lasting relationships with clients and production staff.
  • Help drive research and development to keep TDC at the forefront of technology.
  • Mentor and guide the technical team.

What you bring to the role:

  • A minimum five years’ experience as a video technician
  • Considerable experience in projection, LED or media delivery systems.
  • Proven experience and ability to deliver in technical production management supporting a range of audio-visual services in the events or entertainment industry.
  • A love of learning, with an aptitude for increasing knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A high level of accountability with experience as an accomplished goal setter.
  • Innovative thinking and the ability to be comfortable with change.
  • Strong ability to influence and manage clients.
  • Effective technical problem-solving skills.
  • A calm head on cool shoulders
