Senior Theatre Technician, Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre

Gladstone Regional Council is currently seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified Senior Theatre Technician to join the Arts & Culture team on a permanent full time staff basis at the newly refurbished Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre (GECC).
Reporting to the Operations and Technical Supervisor, this role is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of theatre venues, technical facilities, equipment, and assisting in leading the team. This position plays an instrumental role within our community and is responsible for liaising with venue hirers in the provisions of venue requirements upon hire enquiries and to ensure compliance with the centres objectives are met. This position requires high technical and quality standards in order to achieve expected results in a safe and timely manner.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated ability, experience and skills installing a wide range of audio visual systems for our venues which includes TV, amplifier and speaker setups as well as enhancements to current AV setups. Previous audio visual and programming experience will be highly regarded. Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment, enthusiasm and personal drive with a ‘can do’ positive attitude is essential. The GECC operates day and evening, on weekends and on public holidays and therefore the incumbent must be able to work outside of normal office hours to accommodate the operations and in accordance with the roster.
Benefits:
Salary between $71,066.32 to $75,070.83 p.a. dependent upon skills,        qualifications and experience
