Glen Street Theatre is a Local Government owned and operated theatre located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, at Belrose in the Glen Street Cultural Hub. We are a busy 400 seat professional theatre delivering an engaging annual performing arts program for all ages and tastes.
Our Opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior Theatre technician with developed live audio production experience to join our technical services team.
As a Senior Theatre technician at The Glen Street Theatre, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of all technical aspects of our productions. You will work closely with our operations and technical teams to create unforgettable experiences for our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all technical aspects of productions, including Sound, Lighting, vision, and stage mechanics.
- Set up and maintain sound, lighting, vision, and other technical equipment.
- Lead ongoing maintenance of the venues technical equipment including continual improvement to systems and resources.
- Train and supervise junior technicians and crew members.
About you:
The successful applicant will have considerable professional experience in a live performance or venue environment, or a tertiary level certification in theatre or live performance. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the planning, design, implementation, and operation of technical services for a broad range of live performance events.
