Our Opportunity:

We are looking for a Senior Theatre technician to join our technical services team.

As a Senior Theatre technician at The Glen Street Theatre, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of all technical aspects of our productions. You will work closely with our operations and technical teams to create an unforgettable experience for our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all technical aspects of productions, including lighting, sound, vision, and stage mechanics.
  • Set up and maintain lighting, sound, vision, and other technical equipment.
  • Lead ongoing maintenance of the venues technical equipment including continual improvement to systems and resources.
  • Train and supervise junior technicians and crew members.
  • Maintain up to date industry knowledge and skills.
  • Work collaboratively with all the venue service delivery team.


About you:

The successful applicant will have minimum 3 years professional experience in a live performance or venue environment, or  a tertiary level certification in theatre or live performance. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the planning, design, implementation, and operation of technical services for a broad range of live performance events.
