HOTA is currently looking for a number of Senior Technicians to join our outstanding Technical Department on a fixed-term basis.
The Technical Department is an in-house team delivering full facilities for traditional style theatre productions, visual art exhibitions and functions and events across a range of versatile venues. These roles works as part of a team to deliver the highest technical services to a range of recipients. The roles are customer-focused, drawing on a high level of skills and experience as a technical operator.
It goes without saying that you will have extensive experience in your area of expertise, a demonstrated ability to work without supervision to lead and motivate teams to work towards shared goals, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Senior Technician – Audio: This is a leadership role and will be responsible for show crew. Responsibilities include: operation and set up of Audio equipment in live performance situations; interpret, follow and/or create documentation, such as sound design plans, final cue sheets, radio mic plans, scene maps and other technical documents as required; independently setup audio equipment and systems for use across all theatres, event performance and exhibition spaces; and providing training and mentoring as required. - Senior Technican – AV/Digital: This is a leadership role and will be responsible for show crew. Responsibilities include: operation and set up of AV/Digital and Broadcast equipment in live performance situations including operating consoles, plots and AV/Digital systems; interpret, follow and/or create documentation such as AV design plans, final cue sheets, live broadcast plans and other technical documents; supervise and lead small teams in a productive and efficient manner to deliver outstanding production services. - Senior Technician – Venue Supervisor: We are looking for two part time Venue Supervisors. These roles have responsibility for all backstage operations and ensure the integrity of the venue is maintained and staff are safe and supported. They will undertake specialised tasks and functions to provide effective and influential leadership in the provision of venue and technical services. They will ensure safe, cohesive and efficient event delivery, whilst balancing hirers requirements with artistic and business needs. Apply here.
- Stage Manager: The Stage Manager works across all production requirements for a diverse range of activities and is responsible for facilitating workflow within the venue to ensure the timely delivery of the activities which constitute the stage management for the event.
