An exceptional opportunity currently exists for an experienced and highly motivated professional to join QPAC in the full-time term role of Senior Technician – Staging.
Reporting to the Manager – Staging, you will be responsible for supervising and leading the Staging Unit functions to provide hands-on professional, client-focused services to QPAC venue hirers and internal business units. Key functions of the position include supervising and leading large teams of staging technicians in multiple performance venues and installing and maintaining staging equipment, flying systems and rigging in a live theatre/orchestral environment.
This position requires a high calibre individual who is suitably experienced and qualified in theatre staging with experience in leading and motivating large numbers of employees. Customer service is of paramount importance to this role, as is the ability to interpret stage designs, technical requirements and specifications.
The hours of work will be primarily theatre-based with some maintenance and office work. Availability will be required for day, evening and weekend hours and for extended periods to service hirers’ schedules.
