We’re looking for an experienced Senior Technician to lead major productions and mentor crew, both onsite and in our Melbourne warehouse. If you’re hands-on, technically savvy, and passionate about lighting and rigging, this is your next big move.

The Role
As a Senior Technician, you’ll work across both live site environments and our Noble Park warehouse, supporting medium to large-scale productions. You’ll lead installations, operate lighting systems, and ensure gear is prepped and returned to spec. You’ll also help train and develop junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
On Site:
- Lead the install, operation, and removal of lighting and rigging for medium to large-scale productions.
- Prepare event documentation, including lighting plots, patch sheets, and fixture addressing.
- Operate and design lighting systems where required.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Manage and direct large crews of technicians during builds and bump outs.
In the Warehouse:
- Oversee the prep and return of production equipment to the highest standard.
- Mentor and train warehouse and casual staff, supporting team development.
- Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe working environment.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven hands-on experience in lighting systems, including autonomous fault-finding.
- Confident leadership and people management skills.
- Familiarity with industry tools such as Vectorworks and stock control platforms
- Basic lighting design knowledge and technical drawing literacy.
- Strong computer skills including Windows and Office 365.
- Commitment to safety and a sound understanding of OH&S practices.
Valid driver’s licence (HR, White Card, Yellow Card, EWP, or RI tickets are a bonus).
