The Canberra Theatre Centre, Australia’s first performing arts centre, is recruiting Senior Technicians to join its technical department. Located centrally in Civic Square, the Canberra Theatre Centre is the focal point for performing arts in Canberra, providing the city and surrounding regions with a diverse selection of world class performing arts and entertainment.
The technical department delivers front line production services to presenters and hirers at the Canberra Theatre Centre across Staging, Lighting, and Sound and AV.
As a Senior Technician, you will be directly involved in the delivery of productions at the Canberra Theatre Centre, providing professional technical services to presenters and hirers of the venue to realise the artistic requirements of a production. Leading small teams, a senior technician uses their comprehensive technical knowledge to provide outstanding technical production services, as well as contributing to the growth and development of their department. A Senior Technician upholds relevant WHS standards, and contributes to the management, development, and maintenance, of technical equipment within their department.
The position is offered as Full Time (38 hours) or Part Time {30 hours).
