A bit about the role
As a member of the senior production team, you will support the Coordinator Production and Team Leader Production to deliver high quality events at the Bunjil Place precinct. The venue hosts local, national and international shows across a mix of facilities including an 800 seat theatre, black box studio, plaza and function centre. In your role, you will be the primary client liaison and supervise day to day event and production requirements.
In order to service a diverse clientele, our standard hours of operation are 7 days a week, 7am until midnight, allowing you some flexibility of shifts over a broad range of hours.
What you’ll deliver
- Provide strong production knowledge and practical operational skills to ensure clients event requirements are met effectively, efficiently and safely.
- Anticipate potential problems, mitigate obstacles and risks.
- Participate as a member of the crew for events in one or more of the following disciplines: lighting, audio, audio/visual, staging or stage management.
- Assist the Coordinator Production with administrative duties including rosters, event requirements and calendar planning.
- Assist in training and developing skillsets within the Production team.
What you’ll bring
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in either audio and audio-visual, lighting or stage mechanics.
- Knowledge and familiarity of budgeting and accounting.
- Strong ability to use digital tools.
- Degree or diploma or lesser formal qualification with relevant experience.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
