Senior Audio Visual Technician – Venue Based

Full time
$40 – $50 per hour

Harry the hirer Productions is seeking full-time Senior Audio-Visual Technicians for a unique new corporate venue in Sydney’s CBD … think a combination of the best high-end production technology in an exclusive, 5-star venue environment.

These roles will be responsible for ensuring that the diverse numbers of events within the venue are delivered successfully and clients’ experience 5-star hospitality working with our technical team.

Tasks include but not limited to:

  1. Maintain sophisticated, in-person client service, from the first handshake of the day through to the technical cues of the event.
  2. Provide technical and creative input, alongside venue managers, to bring clients’ event visions to life.
  3. Superior technical operating capability in your chosen technical field of audio, lighting or video.
  4. Programming and configuring production infrastructure and venue facilities according to clients’ brief and design.
  5. Tuning and maintaining venue equipment and cable inventory.
  6. Ensuring installed equipment fits purpose and is set up in line with the approved event plans.
  7. Conducting regular inspections of all equipment, diagnosing faults and undertaking maintenance / replacements of parts as required.


Qualifications / Experience:

  1. At least five years’ relevant experience as an AV Technician.
  2. Cert III in a relevant course or higher.
