Position Overview
- Provide a single point of reference for all matters pertaining to audio equipment across precinct.
- Take a leading role in the coordination, installing and operating of all technical elements utilised in theatrical performances, special events exhibitions.
- Work as part of a team to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, to successfully deliver the audio technical requirements of those events and exhibitions under your remit.
- Operate audio equipment across exhibitions, events and theatrical performances.
- Manage rostered staff for the implementation and realization of performances, events and exhibitions.
- Create operational procedures and maintain record keeping in line with the needs of the business.
- Maintenance of audio equipment across the precinct to ensure safe and working order.
- Provide training to other HOTA staff on specific equipment and exhibitions as required.
- Use of venue management software.
- Administration tasks at assigned by the Technical Operations Manager.
- Provide thorough and relevant inductions to casual technicians, contracted crew, interns and work experience students.
About You
- Excellent understanding and experience of audio systems and best practice strategy trends in operation.
- Demonstrated ability in design and operation of complex sound reinforcement, wireless technology and recording techniques.
- Supervision and leadership skills in addition to mentoring, scheduling, rostering, general administration, venue management software and experience in training and managing casual team members
- Audio systems training and qualifications are advantageous.
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- EWPA Yellow Card
- Intermediate Riggers Ticket (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficient in CAD software
