Senior Audio Technician

$80,000 – $95,000 per year. Based on experience

New opportunity as a Senior Audio Technician with a reputable company catering to clients across Tasmania.

VJAM handles events from large festivals, national and international conferencing, touring acts and everything in between. No two days are the same at VJAM.

The Role

VJAM is on the hunt for an Senior Audio Technician to join our team. The role will include planning, deploying, operating, and packing down small to large Audio systems for a multitude of events. You will be supported by a small team of like minded professionals to deliver shows of all sizes across Tasmania. 

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a professional audio environment
  • Experience in the deployment and use of of large D&B Audiotechnik Audio systems, and market leading audio mixing systems (Avid S6L, Digico SD/Quantum, Yamaha etc)
  • Advanced skills in the design, installation, operation and troubleshooting of professional audio equipment according to project and client needs. 
  • Experience as a system technician and experience dealing with touring artists and crew.
  • Experience with industry software including Rational Acoustics Smaart Suite, D&B Array Calc, R1 and Noizecalc.  
  • Advanced audio engineering skills for a range of events including, festivals, corporate events, musical theatre and hybrid online events. 
  • Ability to maintain Audio equipment such as amplifiers, speakers, mixing consoles and drive equipment.
  • Experience in executing medium-to-large scale corporate projects. 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills to assist and advise clients on operation of Audio equipment.
  • Self-driven individual who can work productively and lead a team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure. 
  • Working with Vulnerable People registration required.  
  • High standard of personal presentation.


Salary
