This is an exciting opportunity to join our professional and dynamic technical team as a Senior Audio Operator and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional audio experiences for events and performances hosted in the City of Sydney’s indoor venues. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for the setup, programming, mixing, and pack down of audio, ensuring the highest standards of technical production service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- safely and effectively deliver events to the highest standards, ensuring a sustainable, accessible, and enjoyable experience for hirers and attendees
- coordinate the setup, operation, pack-down, and maintenance of audio and associated infrastructure for events, utilizing equipment such as Midas Pro X console or similar
- supervise Audio casual staff, act as the primary contact for audio-related services, and coordinate resources effectively within budget and in accordance with WHS/safe work practices
- employ effective communication to manage stakeholder expectations and requirements within the audio field.
Essential Criteria:
- minimum 5 years of professional technical experience in live production, corporate, or events industry
- practical competencies in audio setup, programming, and mixing, preferably using Midas Pro X or similar consoles
- experience in live audio mixing for events, concerts, or live entertainment
- maturity, discretion, and sound judgment for daily administration and project coordination
- willingness and ability to undertake physical work for extended periods and work flexible hours.
