The Opportunity
The Seasonal Production Manager will provide leadership to NIDA in every aspect of technical and theatre production operations. Working within a collaborative environment with academic and creative teams across the organisation, the manager will be playing a key role in theatre, technical, people and production activities coordinated year-round.
About You
Minimum 7 years of demonstrated experience and understanding of the Australian performing arts sector or relevant industry.
Strong knowledge of set design, construction, rigging, stage automation, lighting, sound, audiovisual, digital & streaming requirements, theatrical costumes, and props.
Knowledge of unique production opportunities and challenges along with requirements needed for live theatre designs and implementation.
Excellent leadership, project management and interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Solid experience with creative processes and concepts.
Experience developing, maintaining, and controlling financial budgets
A high-level understanding and knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation and procedures
Qualifications/licences for Safe Work at Heights, EWP, First Aid and drivers’ licence (desirable)
Ability to work with high attention to detail and in an efficient manner
Ability to problem-solve and remain professional and calm within a busy environment.
Demonstrated willingness to embrace organisational change including use of modern technology and an ability to analyse and problem-solve in the context of change and continuous improvement.

Salary (TRP)
$89,128.37 inclusive of 9.5% Superannuation.
