Sales Manager, Australia & New Zealand

OVERALL FUNCTION:

Reporting to the Sales Manager Asia Pacific, through the Director of International Sales, the Sales Manager, Australia & New Zealand manages, grows and builds Meyer Sound’s sales, accounts and partnerships throughout Australia & New Zealand to meet Meyer Sound’s sales goals for the region. The Sales Manager, Australia & New Zealand is a full-time exempt position.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Builds, grows and manages a network of qualified resellers and professional direct customers throughout Australia & New Zealand, in accordance with Meyer Sound’s global sales growth strategies.

Identifies new opportunities, develops sales proposals and ultimately drives projects and contract negotiations through to completion to execute sales.

Maintains on-going communication with resellers and direct customers, ensuring regular, consistent contact, awareness of their needs, and coordination of support with both internal and external resources.

Collaborates with Sales Manager Asia Pacific and Director of International Sales to establish overall sales goals, sets strategies and priorities for potential business, defining key criteria and actively seeking out opportunities to drive growth.

Supports dealer and reseller relationships, sales and market presence by attending tradeshows, networking events, demos, promotional events and similar events.

Provides regular updates to the Sales Manager Asia Pacific, Director of International Sales, the Marketing team, and other departments as necessary.

Provides detailed reports and presentations on progress and status of activities.

Responsible for updates to relevant Salesforce activity including: updating orders with the appropriate vertical markets, maintaining list of all open opportunities, updating contact/account records, providing demo related information for the creation of campaigns within Salesforce, providing detailed lists of attendees from demos/events, adding attendees to campaigns within Salesforce, and linking opportunities to appropriate campaigns.

Travels extensively throughout Australia & New Zealand and regularly to Meyer Sound’s Berkeley, USA office.

Other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager Asia Pacific and Director of International Sales.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

7-10 years of prior professional audio experience. Strong knowledge of Meyer Sound products, technologies and clients including potential clients. Strong knowledge of audio technologies and their application.

Excellent business negotiation, sales and account management skills, including strong communication, presentation and organization skills. Prior experience with sales and proposal planning, technical sales and contract negotiation.

The ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Keynote, Salesforce, MAPP & Compass.

Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.

The ability to travel up to 60 percent of the time.
