For four days in March, Prolight+Sound attracted thousands of national and international industry professionals with the latest products for the entertainment industry and a rich supporting program. ROXX also presented its new developments in Frankfurt, first and foremost the new NEO and the CLUSTER S1.
This first device in the new NEO series is another versatile and, above all, very powerful product from ROXX. With 24x 40W RGBL LEDs, the new high-power outdoor washlight generates an astonishing 21,000lx @ 5m at a calibrated colour temperature of 5,600K. The device has a dedicated 10° TIR lens that guarantees high light output and seamless colour mixing even in long-throw applications.
Accurate colour rendering (CRI 85, TLCI 82), four separately controllable segments and optionally available magnetic filters make ROXX NEO a highly versatile solution. Compared to the previous market leader among LED washlights, NEO offers greater brightness and significantly improved white light rendition, the company says. NEO is also weatherproof (IP65-certified), making it equally suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.
The linear high-power hybrid strobe wash CLUSTER S1 also made one of its first trade fair appearances at this year’s Prolight+Sound. With a total of 720 RGB LEDs and 288 CW LEDs, it delivers a huge output that stands out in any application. Both the central RGB panel and the two strobe lines can be controlled in 26 segments each, offering users countless creative possibilities.
Seamless junctions and evenly spaced LED lines allow continuous effects to be created across multiple devices, blending the clusters horizontally and vertically into a single graphic playground. Like all products in the CLUSTER series, the S1 can be combined with all products in the range in any way thanks to the integrated C-Lok system — even in unprotected outdoor areas thanks to IP65 protection.
On the evening before the trade show opening, a well-attended ROXX event offered customers and sales partners an exclusive platform to experience the latest product innovations in a sociable atmosphere. The event not only strengthened the community within ROXXNATION, but also allowed customers and users to give valuable feedback and exchange ideas directly with the developers.
However, networking at Prolight+Sound is not limited to customers and sales partners. Relationships also develop beyond the boundaries of the trade show booths. For example, loudspeaker manufacturer and long-term neighbour RCF asked ROXX to provide lighting to its loudspeaker demo at the outdoor fair grounds. ROXX E.SHOW maxx TW+ and various CLUSTER configurations impressed with their tremendous punch under daylight conditions. “This partnership emphasises the value of collaboration and shared experiences in the entertainment industry,” says ROXX managing director Michael Herweg.
