Rouse Hill Anglican College is an independent Christian school situated in Rouse Hill in Sydney’s expanding north-west. It is an Anglican co-educational school for students from Pre-K to Year Twelve.
The College was established in 2002 and has grown rapidly in line with population growth in the local area. In its short history, it has established a reputation for pastoral care, academic excellence and the development of the individual potential of students.
Recently the College went to the market seeking some new ellipsoidals for their school productions. As a result, the College organised a shootout with various fixtures from many brands and one came out on top, the Ovation E-910FC from CHAUVET Professional. After seeing its impressive capabilities as well as already owning CHAUVET Professional fixtures with 4x Rogue R3 Spots, the college decided to acquire 12 x E-910FC fixtures from Showtools International.
The Ovation E-910FC is a high-performance ERS-style fixture with full RGBA-Lime colour mixing and Colour Temperature presets of 2800 to 6500 K that match the output of a tungsten source to perfection.
“Thanks to the 910FC’s full RGBA-Lime colour mixing and colour temperature presets of 2800 K to 6500 K, the fixture will provide us the ability to have several effects on stage,” stated Adrian Smith, AV Technician at Rouse Hill Anglican College.
“The colours and output are perfect for subtle atmospheric changes, for example on performers faces with warm tones to recreate that tungsten look to shifting to a colder white, the fixture is versatile for the various events and customers we need it for,” commented Adrian.
“We can use the E-910FCs in several different areas,” said Adrian. “Full colour mixing and gobos from the Ovations really add another dimension to the different productions we host at the college and it enables us to change tones to suit the various shows.” Adrian continued, “I am very pleased with the range of intense colours this fixture produces and the Ovation 26 HD Zoom Lens that we acquired for the ellipsoidals gives us great flexibility with other degrees also available.”
Adrian also described other features that make the E-910FC a standout fixture, “The Ovation E-910-FC provides a flat, even field of light with superior colour mixing, Virtual Colour wheel with colour matched to popular gel colours, adjustable PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) to avoid flickering on camera and virtually silent operation are all features that made the 910FC a great fit for Rouse Hill Anglican College.”
