Robert Juliat Manon’s for Norwest Oceania

Norwest Oceania has replaced their aging 575w Lycian HP midget truss spots with Robert Juliat HMI1200w Manon followspots in what they describe as a major step up in medium throw spot technology.

”The Manon delivers a flicker free f4 (80fc) at 25m making it suitable for TV front fill and as a rock’n’roll truss spot useful f5.6 (160fc) at 15m with a pile of user friendly features that suit our use,” remarked Simon Garret, general manager of the lighting division. “I like that it’s compact enough for truss use with a very steep forward angle standard.”

Simon is impressed by the Manon’s roller fader, repeatable frost, smooth action Iris to blackout and foam rubber insulated handles side and rear.

”The 13-22 degree zoom is particularly useful as is the accessory 240v feed from the ballast,” he added.
