Czech lighting manufacturer Robe s.r.o. made a strong and vibrant impression and launched its much-anticipated landmark new GigaPointe® luminaire at the 2026 Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) expo in Barcelona last week.
GigaPointe is powered by a 350W white Phosphor Laser source and has an advanced LSW-3™ engine that produces an impressive >4.000.000 lx at 5 metres – a fixture to take creative lighting into new realms of possibility!
Robe’s booth – their largest yet at an ISE event – was prominent in Hall 6 at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, which buzzed with excitement right at the heart of the 4-day expo, generating energy and enthusiasm for the latest entertainment lighting technologies.
This year, Robe staged a full expo live production show at ISE, “Excalibur – The Lights of the Round Table” following the success of an initial live performance concept in 2025. ISE 2026 saw the second variant of “Excalibur”, a full-tilt, dramatic themed show featuring acrobat Oskar Skrypko performing with two dancers and Pauline, an industrial robot.
GigaPointes were also central to Excalibur’s lighting and production design, with the entire Robe live experience attracting huge crowds to the stand, piquing interest in this, plus all the other new Robe technology that was on display and available for closer examination in two demo areas.
In addition to the GigaPointe, Robe launched two other cool products – the T10 PC and the T10 Fresnel – the latest expansion to its award-winning T-Series of theatrical luminaires.
The Robe booth celebrated the vibrance, synergy and integration of its other brands and businesses – Anolis, Avolites, LSC Control Systems and Artistic Licence – which also highlighted their latest and smartest products.

The 150mm front lens is highly attractive in itself, and precision optics create beautiful flat-field beams, dynamic shapes, and stunning effects.
GigaPointe offers 1.8° – 21° beam and 3 – 42° spot modes that automatically adjust based on the selected effects. Beam reducers and 1° and 5° frosts provide yet more versatility and options, from tightly focused aerial beams to softer, subtler washes.
GigaPointe has a CMY colour mixing system and a 13-colour dichroic wheel as well as the DataSwatch virtual library with 66 pre-programmed colours, including essential whites, deep saturates, and refined pastels.
An extensive effects toolkit includes static and rotating gobo wheels, and the patented SpektraBeam engine for delivering unique lighting experiences. MLP stackable multi-level prisms have independent speed and directional control for added depth, while a 540° pan indexing range helps ensure that every show can be memorable and action-packed with WOW factors.
There are a host of Robe patented features in GigaPointe, including GLINT™ (GigaPointe Light Intensity Technology), which helps produce that jaw-dropping light intensity, incredible beam sharpness, the properly flat field, contrast and vivid gobo projection at any optical setting.

Robe’s new T10 PC and T10 Fresnel luminaires were also launched at ISE.
These have a compact design that is ideal for smaller theatres, studios and spaces while retaining all the features and benefits of Robe’s larger T11 PC / Fresnel, including a smooth, softer beam, offering great performance and value.
The outstanding colour finesse of the T-Series is maintained using the MSL™ (Multi-Spectral Light) additive colour mixing concept combined with innovative Robe TE™ technology (TRANSFERABLE ENGINE), while the MSL-TE™ 200W LED engine produces over 10.500 lm plus all the advantages of cost saving, exchange or replacement.
The T-Series LED technology provides identical colour characteristics, responses, and control across all its luminaires, giving absolute colour consistency across a Robe installation.
There is a virtually controlled CCT range of 2.700K to 8.000K (extended range 1.800K – 10.000K), a set of calibrated whites, as well as authentic-looking tungsten emulation for ultra-precision control.
Excalibur – Part 2
Robe’s latest frenetic 9-minute live expo extravaganza fascinated crowds throughout ISE, running five times a day.
Imagined and produced by the in-house creative team led by Nathan Wan and Andy Webb, “Excalibur” was an electrifying megamix of lighting genres and styles combined with dance and acrobatic performance, pumping music, strong narrative and gravity-defying performance thrills, all showcasing Robe’s latest technologies in the environment for which they are built!
“Excalibur” reflected the importance and relevance of ISE as a global industry hub and meeting point and underlined Robe’s commitment to producing these unique expo experiences for all to enjoy … whilst watching the products in action.
As you would expect, the new GigaPointe was the star of the show!
Twenty-four of these just-launched wonder fixtures were centre stage, rigged on four vertical trusses upstage, giving a 6 x 4 matrix style back wall of light, which featured prominently during the show.
GigaPointes were used for spot and beam effects and for eye-candy, skilfully illustrating how the phosphor engine combined with prisms can create fantastic in-camera effects without the beams coming too directly at people.
Nathan likes many GigaPointe features, including the beam quality, which stays perfectly parallel with no divergence and is crispy and clean, and the fact that it is so much more versatile thanks to the power of the light source.
The fixtures were deployed this way not just to literally put them centre-stage, but also to illustrate how they could hold their own against all the other lights onstage, which added up to over 250 in a small area, including 8 iBOLTS.
Other fixtures used in the show were the full series of iFORTE LTX, iESPRITE LTL and iPAINTE LTM luminaires; T10s and T11s, Tetra2s, FOOTSIE2s, SVB1s on 4-bars, SVOPATT Classics, and PAINTE Fresnels.
Nathan utilised the SVB1s to the max – he loves this adaptable little fixture – and here they were very noticeably present in the middle section of the show as sparkling egg-strobe effects, which could also be layered to accent beats and rhythms in the music while retaining the base colour. Pixel control over the display screen adds another layer of twinkle when needed.
Three iESPRITE LTLs were used as follow spots – one each for the three performers – running on three RoboSpot systems and operated by students selected from different international elements of Robe’s NRG – Next Robe Generation – educational initiative.
Six students were selected from Germany, the UK, Lithuania, and Belgium through an open call and joined Robe at the expo. In addition to running the RoboSpots and assisting on the NRG section of the booth, this was an ideal chance to network, learn, and gain valuable experience from a busy key industry event.
“Excalibur” was programmed and run on an Avolites D9-215 console. Challenges included working with a fully ground-supported rig, and as always, the usual trade show time pressures, but a lot of planning and pre-viz ensured that everything ran smoothly for this ambitious show to go on.
The show scenography, video content and costumes were also all designed and produced by Robe’s creative team, working closely with a choreographer and Oskar Skrypko, who evolved his own moves with Pauline, the brainchild of Ulik Robotic Shows, managed by Ulrich Kahlert.
While this was the first time that Robe has produced a full live show experience at ISE, with all the interest, excitement and engagement it generated, it certainly won’t be the last
