October’s ENTECH Roadshow opens the door for young people finding work within entertainment and installation AV tech, in venues, production firms and suppliers. Welcoming student groups, a keynote session will be held at 1pm in each city to promote career pathways in our industry and give prospective workers an objective view of opportunities and job skillsets.
Running for around an hour, the keynote will be part of a new series of EnTALKS which feature single city presenters, already filling with diverse topics from ‘Lighting Kiss’ to ‘What is the Colour of Sound?’ These are in addition to exhibitor workshops, demos and training classes, all held under the new EnTALKS branding.
The paid presenter idea resulted from discussions at the just concluded ENTECH Community nights, held in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. A common theme was that our industry doesn’t advocate or reach out effectively as an employment destination, with many potential new entrants confused as to where and how to enter, and with what skills.
Students can now register and attend ENTECH free, same as anyone else. Registration is open at www.entech-roadshow.com
