RISE Pacific supplied an 18-point wireless Broadweigh Load Monitoring system to Gig Control Australia for the Eurotruss TTS mother grid installed to support the sprawling production of Transmission Festival at Sydney Showground last weekend.
The system allowed accurate monitoring of the load applied to the TTS mother grid and to the venue’s structure to ensure parameters remained within those proposed by the events rigging plan, approved by the venue’s consulting engineers. A custom visualisation allowed easy interpretation of the data by the production rigging team and a Broadweigh warning module provided visual feedback throughout the entire rigging and production load-in process. The system also provided visual and audible pre-alarms to notify the rigging team of loads approaching the preset anticipated loadings.
The system allowed the grid to be adjusted continually as production loads were applied to ensure the intended distribution was achieved and loads stayed within the working load limits of all rigging components and the designated rigging points in the venue’s structure.
