We’re looking for an experienced rigger with strong technical ability, proven leadership skills, and a passion for building capability. At resX you’ll work with one of Australia’s most modern fleets of EXE and CM hoists and premium truss systems.
About the Role
As Rigging Manager, you will oversee the safe, efficient, and professional operation of our Rigging Department. You’ll manage maintenance programs, stock control, rigging prep and return processes, on-site rigging support, and the continuous improvement of all rigging activity.
You’ll work closely with Warehouse, Operations, Service team and Production teams nationally to ensure seamless delivery and outstanding service to clients. With a strong technical background and a calm, confident approach, you’ll guide and develop your team while championing safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Technical Operations
- Lead day-to-day activities of the Rigging Department in collaboration with Team Leaders.
- Oversee maintenance, servicing, inspection and load testing of hoists, truss and all rigging stock.
- Maintain accreditation for servicing resX hoists and train others in maintenance processes.
- Manage rigging prep and return workflow for hire and production.
- Assess truss/rigging for repairs, repainting and damage.
- Maintain accurate stock records in Flex; support stocktakes and cycle counts.
- Keep rigging and warehouse areas clean, organised, and compliant.
- Contribute to the national rigging strategy across all resX locations.
On-Site Operations
- Step in for on-site rigging supervision when required.
- Support safe work practices and client satisfaction on shows and installs.
- Ensure all rigging activities meet OHS and company requirements.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and support rigging staff with training and guidance.
- Work collaboratively across Operations, Warehouse, Hire and Production teams.
- Support the customer service desk with timely rigging-related queries.
- Lead with professionalism, clarity, and a commitment to safety and quality.
About You
- 5+ years in entertainment/technical production environments.
- Strong leadership or team-lead experience.
- Intermediate Rigger (or higher).
- Deep understanding of entertainment rigging standards and OHS compliance.
- High attention to detail and excellent organisation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Flex is a bonus.
- Current Driver’s Licence; HR/Forklift advantageous.
