The truck wasn’t even totally unloaded before I came to the stark realization that we weren’t going to have enough cable for this gig. The location of the switches from which we were to get power was not at all according to the plan, and the drawing wasn’t even orientated correctly with the building. To top it all off, the scale I used to calculate the cable run was very different than that in the drawing. What now? Alarm bells started going off in my head. Only then did I realize that the bell was actually my alarm clock going off and this was all just a bad dream.
