About the Role
The Retail Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales strategies and relationships with key retail partners across the retail industry, including music stores and national retailers. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of music products and trends, as well as experience in retail sales, account management, and business development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profit goals for music products across all retail channels.
- Build and maintain relationships with key retail partners, including music instrument retailers, consumer electronics retailers, and online marketplaces.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations to ensure effective execution of sales strategies.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date with trends in the music industry and make informed business decisions.
- Analyze sales data and metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with retail partners, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and deliver presentations to key stakeholders, including senior management, retail partners, and internal teams.
- Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance to senior management.

Key requirements for this role include:
- Drivers licence (current and valid) – C class minimum
- Qualification in Marketing, Business, or similar field
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail sales, account management, or business development.
- Strong understanding of the music industry and music products.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
