The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women is a United Nations initiative that begins 16 days of activism concluding on the day that commemorates International Human Rights Day on December 10.
In Melbourne, Resolution X was proud to have illuminated 720 Bourke, 447 Collins and the Victorian Police Centre in a show of support for this cause.
Friday marked the first of 16 days of activism under the United Nations’ UNiTE campaign, which aims to raise awareness of violence against women and encourage the protection of women’s rights.
Resolution X used a selection of their IP65 outdoor-rated fixtures to ensure resilience in Melbourne’s infamous weather, including their newly expanded inventory of ACME Lighting Stage PARs which offer minimal power draw without compromising on light output and zoom capabilities.
In Sydney, Mandylights illuminated a number of buildings across the Sydney CBD. Their teams lit up Sydney Tower, Westfield Bondi, 580 George Street, Brookfield Place, 118 Mount Street and the Stockland Tower in purple. All outdoor sites were lit using their proprietary LED mCity fixtures that debuted during Vivid Sydney; even making light work of the 250m+ Sydney Tower structure – the 3rd tallest building in Australia!
