The Electric Run made its way to Melbourne last month. Held at Flemington Racecourse the fun run snaked its way around the racecourse wowing participants with themed and coloured worlds lit up by Resolution X
The gig involved setting up 450 fixtures spread across the 5km course over three very wet and windy days, but the Res X fixtures with careful water protection planning stood up to the challenge.
The inventory consisted of over 350 LED Pars and floods plus an additional 35 UV Floods including Res X’s new Chauvet SlimBANK LED UV-18s. Other fixtures included Clay Paky Sharpys, Martin MAC 700 Profiles, MAC 301’s, Atomic Strobes, and ETC S4 Profiles, all of which required the installation of over 16 km of data and power cable.
The great preparation and up keep of the Res X fixtures meant problems were kept to a minimum onsite. The Resolution X crew onsite battled through driving rain, strong winds and mud, and still managed to keep on smiling. “It is testament to all involved that even under great pressure we still managed to pull off a highly successful event.” Commented Andrew Arney ResX Project Manager
