Harry the Hirer Productions is Australia’s premier event rental house that provide lighting, audio, video and rigging solutions to the most high profile events, exhibitions, conferences and shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Due to the growth in our business, an opportunity is available to join our Botany/Clyde (Sydney) based team as a Production Account Co-ordinator, where you will work on a diverse range of events, shows, exhibitions and private gigs to deliver impressive technology solutions.

We are the largest full-service production business in Australia. We own plenty of the latest kit, which is supported by specialist audio, video, lighting and rigging teams. 

Your role is to liaise with clients to understand their vision, translate that into drawings, technical briefs and quotations, and work with the team to deliver the event. 

We seek a fun, outgoing, energetic and passionate person who loves technology and is willing to grow into a market-leading expert.

Experience in a client-facing role is not required; however, ideally you have experience with at least one aspect of technology and enjoy working directly with the customers.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting and communicating with customers to understand their requirements.
  • Producing technical plans using Vectorworks (training provided).
  • Compiling quotations.
  • Providing production support for events
  • Generating operational documentation for show delivery.
  • Briefing and working with the technical operational teams.
  • Spending time on-site at the key periods during bump-in.
  • Building relationships with our customer’s long term.


You will be based at our Botany office with travel to site and our Warehouse in Clyde working amongst the largest team in the industry, working alongside some very experienced people that want to help you grow and become a leader in the industry.

Qualities and Skills you might possess:

  • Good communication skills
  • Above average attention to detail
  • Enjoy fast paced multitasking
  • A positive attitude to problem solving with a smile


Skills you don’t need to apply, but we will teach you:

  • Detailed working knowledge of individual products.
  • Lighting, Audio or Video operator experience.
  • Sales or presentation experience.
  • CAD or VW experience.
