Production & Venue Hire Manager

Position Description

The Belco Arts Production & Venue Hire Manager is responsible for bringing the centre to life through the delivery of hire activity in the Theatre and throughout our multi-arts facility. The position reports to the Co-CEOs. As Production & Venue Hire Manager, you will play an essential role bringing together a diverse and vibrant range of live performances, celebrations, and commercial events in our Theatre, as well as activating our Dance Studio, Workshops and other spaces through hire.

You’ll be responsible for building connections with producers and clients, creating venue hire proposals, scheduling and coordinating specialist technical and front of house staff, managing risk, and delivering high quality experiences that turn first-time hirers into long-term relationships. You’ll work with a close-knit, high performing team of passionate arts professionals, in a state-of-the-art, newly completed multi-arts facility on the shores of Lake Ginninderra. The hire activities that you manage will complement our community outreach activities and our outstanding exhibition program in our beautiful venue. It’s a place of creativity, connection, celebration and joy.

You will work with the Technical Manager, Visitor Services Coordinator and Marketing Manager to meet client needs and ensure successful delivery of activities, and you’ll work with the Co-CEOs and the broader team to design packages and campaigns that bring in new and diverse activities and maximise the utilisation of the venue.

Term

The position is delivered on a full-time basis, 38 hours per week, for an initial contract period of 24 months with the intention of renewal. There is a probationary period of 6 months. Hours of work This position will generally be delivered from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with some after-hours and weekend work where this contributes to a higher quality of hiring experience.

Salary and Classification

The salary paid to the Employee shall be $38.50 per hour equal to $76,076 per annum (38 hours per week) plus superannuation and annual leave loading. The position is classified in accordance with Production and Support Staff Level 8 of the Live Performance Award 2020.
