Melbourne Theatre Company is one of Australia’s major performing arts companies and Victoria’s home of live storytelling. MTC produces an annual season of mainstage plays, extensive playwright development, education and outreach programs, and operates its own theatre venues in the heart of Melbourne’s arts precinct.
We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Production Technician/Operator to work as part of the team responsible for delivering the technical requirements for Melbourne Theatre Company’s Productions and Events.
The Production Technician/Operator will work with the Technical Manager – Lighting & Sound and Production Technician Coordinators to implement and integrate Lighting, Sound, Multimedia, Automation and Special/Visual Effects requirements for Productions and Events.
The Production Technician/Operator is also designated as a member of show crew to operate technical equipment during performance seasons.
The role is offerred on a full time and ongoing basis.
