About You
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Production Technician in the audio and production field – sound, lighting, staging, AV, communications and broadcast.
You will be highly organised and collaborative as you work closely with staff and students to provide technical support.
About the Role
In a casual capacity, you will be responsible for providing effective technical support, operating and maintaining production facilities, and performing administrative tasks for production rooms and equipment.
Your Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of production equipment for internal and external events, such as digital mixing consoles, lighting controllers, cameras and livestreaming equipment.
- Provide first-class technical support to all students, staff and AIM visitors using production facilities such as theatres, recording studios, digital media labs and rehearsal rooms.
- Regularly, routinely and methodically inspect and maintain production equipment and ensure potential issues are resolved or flagged in a timely manner.
- Install equipment into the studios and production facilities in line with Production plans
- Ensure AIM Studios webpage and online booking forms are routinely updated
Your Qualifications & Experience
- Technical qualification or certificate in audio and production related field
- Comprehensive skills and experience (minimum 3 years) in several professional production service disciplines including sound, lighting, staging, AV, communications and broadcast.
- Good working knowledge of mixing consoles, patch-bays, basic staging, theatre lighting, audio and video switchers, wireless microphones and IP networks.
- Proficient in the use of audio production related software such Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton.
- Strong problem solving and time management skills
