Production Support Manager

YOUR NEW ROLE

This position is responsible for the management and operations of the Production Support Department in the Production and Events portfolio.

Production Support carries out all operational and show support tasks for both internal and external stakeholders.  It provides a supporting role in all production disciplines including staging, lighting, sound, audio visual, technology and record and broadcast while also delivering small scale events independently.

This role provides expert technical and logistical leadership. It ensures Production Support services are delivered in a safe and efficient way and that our equipment and workforce can realise the technical vision of our hirers and presenting partners and   develop customer-focused systems and standards that enable performers to achieve excellence.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

We are looking for someone with:

  • Minimum five years demonstrated high-level production experience, with a variety of clients across various art forms and event types. 
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of documentation and logistics capabilities. 
  • Demonstrated project management skills including a demonstrated ability to use systems to monitor and track project progress. 
  • Experience with project costing, scheduling, resource allocation, development and management of budgets.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading and building teams including formal training, development plans, performance management and rostering.
  • Extensive knowledge of, and commitment to, WHS and risk management within a production environment.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure including demonstrated sound decision making and crisis management skills.
  • A thorough knowledge of the theatrical process and sensitivity for working artists. 
  • Ability to work well in a flexible work environment as part of a leadership team.
  • Advanced knowledge of productivity, technical drawing and production hire software with a demonstrated knowledge and application of computer-related technology for production needs.
