About the Role
As a key role in the broader Operations and Technical Teams at the Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre, you will be responsible for the delivery and oversight of all technical matters at the centre. Take an important lead in the delivery of our award-winning Arts Program by providing technical services to artists, clients and hirers and the facility.
Duties
- Lead a team of highly skilled and motivated technicians to deliver technical services to NTHAC users and in collaboration with the Programming Team
- Improve and enhance systems, processes and internal documentation to assist in the efficient and professional delivery of the service
- Oversee the investment of the minor capital work budget in strategic technical and operational upgrades of the venue
- Design and deliver training programs for staff to ensure the highest levels of expertise and safety within the venue
- Ensure that the venue is excellently presented as a premier Melbourne venue
Skills & Experience
- Experience leading technical operations or services in an arts venue or performance or events environment
- Demonstrated experience in building and leading technical teams
- Experience managing substantial budgets and strategic investment
- Love and passion for working with artists and delivering excellent service to the arts community
- Be a natural collaborator, networker and a team player, bringing can-do innovation and commitment to a multifaceted service
