Drawing on your expertise, you will work with the executive team to implement a number of key strategic initiatives which have been designed to take Novatech to the next level. You will be invested in the continued growth and success of this business by utilising your capabilities to see the operationalisation and achievement of Novatech’s key strategic goals.
We are looking for an expert people manager from the technical production and AV industry who is willing to invest themselves on this journey. This key leadership role includes the following accountabilities:
* Lead and manage the Production Department and its staff to achieve operational outcomes.
* Report to and liaise with the executive team.
* Implement and operationalise the strategic plan for the production department.
* Work with executive management to set targets for the team and yourself and drive the consistent achievement of KPI’s.
* Adhere to budgeting and forecasting for the department.
* Ensure all aspects of projects and bookings are planned appropriately and delivered to an acceptable standard (equipment, client outcome, event design).
* Work with the Operations team to ensure projects are resourced appropriately.
* Management of equipment and inventory (including recommending upgrades, resolving shortages, service and assignment to projects).
* Ensure client satisfaction is achieved across all project delivery.
* Support the development and implementation of the Novatech annual training plan.
* Identify new technology and trends throughout the industry to further develop the Novatech standard of show delivery.
An understanding that we are a 24/7 business and therefore your commitment to us to resolve production related matters includes working outside of business hours, weekends and public holidays as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
* A driven, skilled and committed approach to people leadership with a minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing high performing teams and implementing key strategic goals.
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the events, AV, arts or live performance industries.
* High level of knowledge across Audio, Lighting, Video, Communications and Rigging equipment and implementation.
* Highly developed project management skills.
Desirable
* Experience in a full-service production company.
* Leadership and communication training and experience.
* Suitable industry qualifications.
* A thorough understanding of budgets and associated reporting.
