Salary: $88,639.58 – $104,521.57 + 12% super

The City of Fremantle is seeking a Production Manager to assist in the delivery of production requirements across the City of Fremantle’s Art programs including Walyalup | Fremantle Arts Centre live events, Moore Building Art Space and annual Festivals programs in collaboration with City of Fremantle staff, production crews and contracted services including first aid, security & traffic management services.

Key responsibilities include:

Tasks include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Event Management of diverse range of events including festivals, live concerts, contemporary music, art programs, installations, cultural projects and more.
  • Technical production management – lead and advise ensuring the effective delivery of all technical requirements including sound, lighting, rigging, staging, FX and AV, both directly and through delegation across the production and contractor teams.
  • Collaborate and contribute to the venue management and maintenance of WFAC and the Moores Building Art Space. Focus on sustainable operational delivery, safety and venue development projects.
  • Lead large-scale event delivery by managing all onsite elements at WFAC and Festival sites, including staff, contractors, promoters, creative teams, and resources, while ensuring high standards in planning, scheduling, contracting, and forecasting of all event resources, equipment and technical services.


To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in event management, production or other related fields. Or extensive experience in event management focused on production and technical delivery for outdoor live events and performing arts festivals including skills in sound, AV, lighting, rigging and staging.
  • Strong communication and positive team member.
  • Experience in managing audiences at live events, free & ticketed
  • Knowledge of current risk management processes and procedures.
  • Effective time management, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines; Experience developing plans and schedules
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Current National Police Clearance, First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • White Card.
