The City of Sydney is seeking a Production Manager to join the dynamic Major Events and Festivals team. The Major Events and Festivals team delivers the City’s Cultural Plan through a series of large scale, major public and cultural events including Sydney New Year’s Eve, Sydney Lunar Festival, Sydney Christmas, Art & About, and Capital Works launch events.
The primary purpose of the Production Manager is to provide ongoing management and co-ordination of all production, operational, logistical and technical aspects of assigned events within the City’s Major Events and Festivals Program.
The program of events on which the Production Manager may work includes Christmas in the City, Christmas Concerts, Sydney New Year’s Eve, Sydney Lunar Festival, Art & About and Capital Works events. The exact allocation of Production Managers to each event will be confirmed by the Head of Production prior to each festival season.
You will have demonstrated experience in major event production, operations and technical management, and in the provision of high-level operational support within a dynamic and challenging environment and proven experience in engaging/managing a wide range of stakeholders, including representatives of external organisations, contractors, suppliers, volunteers, internal departments and staff.
