To enable us to do what we do, our talented and passionate Production team are behind the scenes ensuring every event exceeds expectations for our patrons and artists alike. As a Production Manager, you will be part of the team that makes that happen.
Here’s a snapshot of your day:
Our mission is to create a sense of wonder and joy for Brisbane’s people, and as one of the team, there will be no such thing as a typical day! One week it might be a live performance, anoand ther week an art installation. However, on a day-to-day basis, the role will involve:
- Provide production management across a range of activities taking place within or on behalf of the Brisbane Powerhouse annual program
- Coordinate, manage and implement all technical, operational and venue-specific requirements
- Creative liaison with a range of artists, promoters, and corporate clients, presenting realistic parameters and opportunities to realise projects and events for hirers, commissioned and developed works within or for the Brisbane Powerhouse
- Ensure all work is carried out following the obligations detailed in the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations
- Assist independent companies in developing documentation such as technical information, schedules, and risk assessments
- Contribute to ensuring the provision of a safe and effective venue for all staff, theatrical and event clients, patrons, and members of the public visiting Brisbane Powerhouse
- Contribute to the development of operational and technical manuals for the Technical Services department to continually grow and improve working practices
- In conjunction with the Senior Production Manager and other Technical Services staff, assist in building and maintaining an efficient, skilled, and motivated casual staff base to fulfil Brisbane Powerhouse’s production requirements
- Ensure casual production staff remain customer focused with attention to detail and delivery
