Oversees: Casual production staff
Purpose
To assist with planning and organising equipment and production preparation, and schedules to meet the company’s time, financial, quality control and safety standards and objectives.
Key responsibilities overview
Administration duties including but not limited to;
– Quoting
– Negotiating and finalising production budgets
– Assisting with creating production schedules and issuing to interested parties
– Assessing production resource requirements
– Obtaining quotes for and booking freight
– Staffing and scheduling
– Assisting with travel arrangements
– Liaising with the accounts department to meet budgetary requirements
Pre and postproduction duties including but not limited to;
– Creating and implementing a standardised system for production equipment prep
– Implementing and updating quality control standards for the preparation of production equipment
– Staff training in MPH standards
– Ensure streamlined delivery of equipment on-site
– Receipt and dispatch of freight
– Compliance with OH&S requirements
Show related duties including but not limited to;
– Acting as a ‘senior lighting technician’ or ‘technical supervisor’ on shows as per these position description
– Liaising with the accounts and administration department to meet budgetary requirements
– Compliance with OH&S requirements
Experience and skills required
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the entertainment lighting industry
• Advanced technical knowledge of MPH Australia’s equipment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong proficiency in MS Office
• AutoCAD and WYSYWIG experience favourable
• Experience with Current RMS (or similar rental software)
• Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
• Proven ability to schedule crew and freight
• Proven ability to improve policy and procedure, processes, and systems
• Good knowledge of warehouse operations and production management systems and procedures
• Good knowledge of OH&S requirements
• Ability to multi-task in an often-fast paced work environment
• Works well under pressure
• Current Australian Driver licence (manual)
• Current forklift ticket and white card
• Heavy ridged truck licence, scaffolding, rigging and/or crane/boom licences favourable
• Current basic first aid certificate or course undertaken within 1 month of commencing employment
